VISION STATEMENT
To promote Scientific and Technological advancement, and welfare of members.

MISSION STATEMENTS

  • To promote the welfare of members of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON).
  • To organize workshops, seminars and conferences for members in order to enhance professionalism and update of technological development.
  • To promote high standards in Science Laboratory Technology education and practice through organization of meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, discussions, reports and publications for members, enhancing professionalism and update of technological development.
  • To organize certified and registered professional Technologists/Scientists employed in the Nigeria Educational, Health, Research, Industrial, Private and other sectors.
  • To promote cordial relationship between members and their employers.
  • To agitate for the welfare and good working conditions (environment and opportunity) for all Science Laboratory Professionals in every sector where they are employed.
  • To encourage high productivity and enhance academic/professional status of members of the Association.
  • To provide benefits and other assistance to members as provided for, in the constitution.
  • To amplify the code of practice of the NISLT among the members in achieving government main thrust in the enactment Act of No. 12 of 2003 for the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT).
  • To serve as a link between the ASLTON members and the (NISLT).
  • To harness the technological, human and material resources available within the country for greater technological attainments.
  • To promote interest in Science orientated subjects through standard practical learning for all Nigerian students in all Secondary and Post-Secondary Institutions.
  • To promote understanding amongst members and other professional bodies based on equity and mutual respect.
  • To uphold the professional code of conduct as lay down by the Council of the Nigeria Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT).
  • To initiate, participate and advise governmental and non-governmental organizations on programs, legislations and policy matters related to good science laboratory practices, management and administration.
  • Generally, to do such other thing(s) as may be necessary to attain the Association’s vision statements.
