
The Kaduna State Chapter of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON) paid a courtesy and awareness visit to the Registrar of Kaduna State University (KASU), Mrs. Samira Balarabe, Esq., as part of preparations for the Association’s forthcoming 41st Annual Conference and Workshop scheduled to hold at the University.
During the visit, the ASLTON delegation led by the LOC Chairman, Mr Idris Abdullahi formally informed the Registrar about the conference and outlined its objectives, which include promoting professional development, knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and innovation among Science Laboratory Technologists across Nigeria. The team also sought the support and active participation of Kaduna State University to ensure the successful hosting of the event.
In her response, the Registrar warmly received the delegation and commended ASLTON for its sustained commitment to advancing the science laboratory profession in Nigeria. She acknowledged the significance of initiatives that foster academic excellence, professional growth, and collaborative learning within the scientific community.
Mrs. Balarabe further expressed the University’s readiness to support programmes that contribute to capacity building and institutional development. She also wished the Association a successful conference and workshop.
The courtesy visit underscores the strong partnership between ASLTON and academic institutions in advancing scientific practice, laboratory professionalism, and research-driven development in Nigeria.
